Castleton, Vermont

We have been in Castleton since the 24th Sep.  We are having a such a good time with Rich and Nancy.  They are great tour guides.  Rich and I have enjoyed seeing each other after 50 years and remembering some good times we had growing up.  We are staying at a nice RV Park on Lake Bomoseen.  We are about 10 min drive from their house and Castleton.  I think it is about 8 miles.  On Saturday we went to the town of Poultney for their Annual Chili Cookoff and Farmer's Market & Craft Fair on Main Street.  They said there were 25 contestants vying for the title of "Best Chili Chef."  You paid $6.00, got a cup and spoon, then you went to each table and got a scoop of chili to taste.  After you tasted all the different chilies you were to go vote for your best.  Problem was by the time you tasted each one you forgot which one you liked the best.  So if you are like Ray you had to go back and taste the ones you "think" you liked the best again.  Later in the afternoon we stopped by Castleton College to watch the girls Soccer Team.  The boys were just finishing up when we arrived so didn't get to watch them....all we saw was they won.  The girls team is good.....enjoyed watching them play.  They also won.
